Because the acting, the directing, the writing, the cinematography, the sound, the editing, the production design, the costuming, the SFX, the producing -- all lead somewhere and hopefully at the heart of that somewhere is a great story, a marriage of sound & pictures, worthy of remembrance.

A picture is worth more than a thousand words to me and a good film loops in my mind’s eye. Lighting, cameras, quiet moments and adrenaline filled performances all impact me. Practicing and pondering image, collecting and preserving, researching the past, teaching, sharing with fellow film fans, hobbyists, travelers and all-around encouraging the art of film is my mission.
